How Raves Made Me Spiritually Aware Throughout Life

The perception that “oldskool ravers” see the afterlife more than others is not supported by scientific evidence. Being spiritually aware often comes after being more heightened awareness after the use of various recreational drugs.

Claims about the afterlife are often subjective and based on personal beliefs or being spiritually aware, religious or spiritual experiences, or individual interpretations account for certain phenomena.

These beliefs can vary widely among individuals and are not exclusive to any particular group, however, the use of MDMA has proven evidence that the mind is more subdued to spiritual awareness and Khama later in life.

A Spiritual Awakening

Hi, I’m Stephen and I’ve suffered mental illness after raving and far too much back in time. I suffered From Psychosis and depression for 15 years.

Since recovery, I have managed to travel to over 36 countries and over 90 cities worldwide and still counting. The rave scene accounts for much of my struggles, however, I still held my head up high towards my achievements.

The rave scene opened my mind to meeting more people as my travel days unfolded. I have been all over the world and still rave to this day. I don’t take drugs anymore because I don’t need to.

Spiritual Connectedness

Some individuals have reported feelings of euphoria, spiritual connectedness, and a sense of transcendence while under the influence of substances.

These experiences, combined with the communal and immersive nature of raves, may have contributed to some individuals’ heightened sense of spirituality or a perceived connection with the afterlife.

It’s important to approach discussions about the afterlife with an open mind and respect for different perspectives and beliefs.

Ultimately, the existence and nature of the afterlife remain matters of personal faith and philosophical contemplation, and it’s up to individuals to explore these ideas and form their conclusions based on their own experiences and beliefs.

MDMA: Do You Believe in God?

It’s important to note that the effects of MDMA can vary significantly between individuals, and not everyone who takes MDMA will have the same experiences or beliefs.

While MDMA may enhance feelings of connectedness, empathy, and openness, it does not necessarily lead to a specific belief in God or any religious or spiritual framework.

Belief in God or a higher power is a deeply personal and complex aspect of human consciousness. It is influenced by a wide range of factors, including cultural, social, and personal experiences, upbringing, philosophical contemplation, and individual interpretations of the world.

MDMA, like other psychedelic substances, may create a temporarily altered state of consciousness that can impact one’s perception and beliefs, but its effects are not determinative or universally applicable.

God & Spirituality

It’s essential to approach discussions about beliefs in God or spirituality with respect for individual perspectives and understand that these beliefs are subjective and deeply personal.

Different people may have different experiences and interpretations of their experiences, regardless of whether they have used substances like MDMA or not.

However, most previous MDMA users will explain more about life than the average person due to the openmindedness of what the rave scene back in the early 90s represented.

Raves counter-acted with love, companionship and the will to make friends. Isn’t this how we should all be living?

Nervous Breakdown

In 2005 I had a nervous breakdown and it wrecked my life until today a moment I can stand proud of my wellbeing. I’m not religious but I’m more spiritually aware of my surroundings.

I smooth my life with a fine balance of oldskool rave nights and everyday living. Under the pressures, life throws at me I try to remain calm.

I will never let the rave scene go because it’s what made me who I am today. I listen to rave tunes as I delve through my record collection to find the classics of their time.

The Real Truth Vs Being Spiritel Aware

MDMA, also known as ecstasy, is a psychoactive substance that primarily affects the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain.

Transformative Impact on Individuals Spiritually

Raving is a communal experience where people come together to celebrate music, dance, and self-expression. Raves often incorporate elements like elaborate light shows, immersive visuals, and a sense of unity among attendees.

The use of substances like MDMA has been prevalent in rave culture, although it is important to note that substance use is not inherent to the experience. It heightens overall later-life awareness towards what life means.

Raving can have a transformative impact on individuals spiritually, but it is essential to separate the cultural and communal aspects of raving from the effects of substances.

Collective Energy

The intense sensory stimulation, the collective energy on the dance floor, and the feeling of connectedness to others can create a sense of transcendence and spirituality for some participants.

The experience of unity and oneness with the music and the crowd can lead to a feeling of being part of something greater than oneself for tonight GOD is a DJ.

Don’t Be Alone

If you’re struggling with mental health, I want you to know that you’re not alone, and reaching out for support is an essential step towards healing and well-being. Here are a few things to consider:

  1. Reach out to someone you trust: Talk to a family member, friend, or a supportive person in your life about what you’re going through. Sharing your feelings and experiences can provide relief and open up opportunities for understanding and support.
  2. Seek professional help: Consider reaching out to a mental health professional, such as a psychologist, psychiatrist, or therapist. They are trained to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based treatments to help you navigate your mental health challenges.
  3. Take care of yourself: Engage in self-care activities that promote your overall well-being. This could include getting enough sleep, maintaining a balanced diet, exercising regularly, practising relaxation techniques, and engaging in activities you enjoy. Small steps toward self-care can have a positive impact on your mental health.
  4. Educate yourself: Learn about your specific mental health condition or the challenges you’re facing. Knowledge can help you understand what you’re experiencing and provide insights into coping strategies and available resources.
  5. Connect with support networks: Consider joining support groups, either in person or online, where you can connect with others who may be going through similar experiences. Sharing your journey with others who understand can provide comfort, validation, and a sense of community.
